Made in America

Our stationery is made in America

Giftsin24 products are made in America by American workers

Our stationery is made in America. We produce your order from start to finish in our facility in Aurora, Illinois. It’s no secret. And it’s why we can produce your order in 24 hours. No middle men or vendors slow us down.

That’s not the case at other stationery companies. Some import their products. Very commonly, some companies pair imported white envelopes with their cards or notes. We make every single card or note and the matching envelopes right here in our facility. When you select ivory paper, you get matching ivory envelopes. When you select white paper, you get matching white envelopes.

We can spend time and care on these details. And, we go the extra mile. We can do so because all of our materials and craftspeople reside in the same building.

Greatness Guarantee – Products Made in America

In addition, we stand behind our products…because we literally stand behind our presses and other machines. Each of our highly trained staff carefully crafts every order. They take the necessary time to produce every piece of stationery or napkin to the highest standards. They re-do the project if needed.

We want you to be 100% satisfied. It’s very rare, but if you are not, we will exchange the product or refund the purchase price. American precision, and American accountability. See our Greatness Guarantee.

Our people are our most valuable asset. Many of them have worked for us for 20 or even 30 years. We take great pride in this fact. Even most of our raw materials originate in the U.S. When you order a Giftsin24 product, you support American jobs and the American economy. Thank you for your support!

3 Reasons Our Envelopes are Different

Envelopes are beautifully color-matched to stationery

We make all our envelopes in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Aurora, IL

Longtime Giftsin24 customers know our products shine above the competition’s. One reason is our color-matched, perfectly fitted, beautifully crafted envelopes. That’s because we make all our envelopes right here in our state-of-the art manufacturing plant in Aurora, IL. We have total control of the process, from start to finish. Plus, our sole focus is on creating a perfect product and delighting you, our customer.

Some other companies don’t make their envelopes. Telltale signs include…

  • mismatched stationery and envelope papers.  Ivory stationery and white envelopes? Never from us !
  • envelope proportions don’t match stationery. For example, there might be 1/2 inch extra space on the sides and 1 inch of extra space on the top and bottom. Yuck!
  • too much room in the envelope. For example, the stationery rattles around inside the envelope–there’s no need for that !

Giftsin24 envelopes are always perfect

Here’s how we do it:

1. We order our stationery paper and envelope paper from the same mill. That ensures that all papers closely match in color. Plus, this mill creates high quality paper using the best sustainable practices. Check them out here: www.NeenahPaper.com

2. Our expert envelope makers have been making envelopes for decades. They work within tiny tolerances to ensure that each of your envelopes is absolutely perfect. In addition, we don’t give our envelope makers quotas. If one doesn’t turn out, it goes into the recycle bin, and the crafts person starts with new paper.

3. We cut and fold our envelopes to our highest quality standards. Consequently, when you insert the matching stationery, it fits like a glove.  It’s all in the details !

The Magic Behind Raised Ink Printing

Vicky at the thermography machine that creates raised ink printing

Vicky, who runs our printing facility, enjoys working on the thermography machine.

Ever wonder how our raised ink stationery is printed? We take great pride in creating crisp, vivid, highly textured printing that’s as luxurious to feel as it is eye-catching to see.

We create our raised ink printing through a technical process called “thermography.” Vicky, who manages the Giftsin24 printing facility, explained the process. Out of all the equipment in our state-of-the-art factory, the thermography machine is Vicky’s favorite one to work on. She enjoys the magic of the process and the vibrant, shiny results.

“First, we print your name onto the paper,” explains Vicky. “While the inked image is still wet, we spread a colored plastic powder onto it. The conveyor belt carries the paper through equipment that bakes the image at high heat for a few seconds. The ink and powder melts together to form a raised image.”

Example: Anthony Family Pride Note

Some of our products feature just a touch of raised ink; others go all out.

The Anthony Family Pride Note is a delight to touch because of the abundance of raised ink printing.

One of our favorites that pulls out all the stops is the Anthony Family Pride Note.  The texture of the raised-ink names, bullets and border makes this note a delight to touch and hold. Like most of our raised ink products, you can choose from among our 10 raised-ink colors. A young,  close-knit family would love this gift.

Proud to Be an American Company

On July 4th, we celebrate our country and all it means to us…its beauty, opportunities and freedoms. We are proud to be an American company.

This year, we are also celebrating our 40th anniversary in business! We are a leading manufacturer of social stationery right here in America. When you buy from our American company, you support the domestic economy and workers.

Here’s an example: When you purchase our products, your money pays the salaries of our workers at our Aurora, Illinois, facility in America’s heartland. We also pay our suppliers, like Wisconsin-based Neenah paper and FedEx. Our workers, our suppliers, and our suppliers’ workers further circulate this money throughout the economy, when they buy food at the grocery store and pay taxes that support schools and libraries or infrastructure like roads.

Over the past 40 years, while our business has seen its ups and downs, American manufacturing has shrunk dramatically, shedding good-paying jobs in the process. We are one of the survivors.

Made in the U.S.A.

As the country struggles with an anemic recovery from the 2008 economic recession, people wonder how to create more American jobs. Consumer power is one way. This year, retail giant Walmart pledged to stock more US-made products in its stores, for example. If consumers buy more American-made products, companies can afford to hire more workers and invest in their businesses. Hopefully their success will encourage new manufacturing companies to start up, providing more jobs and fueling the economy.

American companies like ours abide by fair labor laws. We also conform to EPA regulations. You can rest assured that workers are being treated fairly and that the environment around our manufacturing plant is not polluted. These safeguards are often absent in other countries. Companies there may make products more cheaply, but at a terrible cost to workers, nearby residents and the environment.

We hope you’ll agree that American-made products are the best ones. Thank you for your support.

What’s So Special About Embossing?

Embossed, embossing, monogram, giftsin24.com

California Classic Frame Monogram Note updates the classic embossed monogram with a punch of color.

Embossing, which is a little like printing, but without the ink, makes stationery or napkins special.  Nothing says, “style, class and tradition” more than an embossed monogram or name on a piece of stationery.

That’s why embossed items make memorable and heart-felt gifts.

In this process, paper is squeezed between two molds, or dies, to create a raised impression on the paper.

How can you tell high-quality embossing from poor-quality embossing?

  • Look at the front of the paper. The edges should be crisp. This crisp quality is harder to achieve with thicker paper (but, of course, we’ve got that figured out.)
  • Now, look at the back of the paper. You should see a deep texture change in the embossed area. The paper should have been squeezed up and into the embossed pattern or lettering. If there’s just a shallow impression, then the embossing is inferior.

Giftin24’s Damask Note is one of our finest examples of embossed stationery.

Fine Printing Since 1978

GiftsIn24 and its parent company, Embossed Graphics, have been embossing stationery since 1978. Needless to say, we have perfected our technique over the last 36 years. In fact, we create the highest quality embossed personalized stationery out there.

One other thing you should know about our process, according to Richard Pauling, owner of GiftsIn24: We take the time to get the embossing done right. “Our operators have no quota to perform each day,” says Pauling. “They spend as much time as they need to on an order, even on the most demanding embossing projects.”

So, if you want to send a gift that says “wow” to someone special, consider these five embossed products, recommended by Richard. Pride and craftsmanship go into every product:

Classic Frame Monogram Note. A traditional border expertly embossed frames a gracefully winding monogram. Matching envelopes included.

Banner Card. The embossing stands out on this creamy, triple-thick paper. Matching envelopes included.

Blossom Note.  This note features a combination of exquisite embossing and raised ink printing. Matching envelopes included.

Damask Note.  The embossed pattern on these notes is truly a work of art. Names appear in ink. Matching envelopes included.
