What is the difference between a Card Invitation and a Foldover Invitation?

There are two different styles of Invitations at Giftsin24.com to choose from. Card Invitations are single, flat pieces of 18 point card stock. The Card Invitations can not be folded because they are approximately the thickness of a credit card.

Foldover Invitations arrive as a flat piece of paper, but each Foldover contains a score, which allows the Foldover Invitations to be folded in half. The Foldover Invitation is produced on 7.2 point paper, approximately the thickness of two sheets of notebook paper placed together.



What is the difference between Card Announcements and Card Invitations?

Card Announcements and Card Invitations can be used for many of the same events, including weddings, anniversaries, parties, and corporate events. However, Card Announcements are 6. 25" by 4.5" in size while the Card Invitations are 6" by 8" in size.



What is the difference between Foldover Announcements and Foldover Invitations?

Foldover Announcements and Foldover Invitations can be used for many of the same events, including weddings, anniversaries, parties, and corporate events. However, Foldover Announcements are 6.25" by 4.5" in size while the Foldover Invitations are 6" by 8" in size.



Are the Full-Color invitations produced like the traditional invitations?

No, the Full-Color invitations, reply cards and reception cards are produced on white, 12 point card stock at Giftsin24.com. The informal notes are produced on 7 point flat paper. Our vibrant, Full-Color invitation line may be used for any occasion.



What envelopes are available for the full-color invitations?

We suggest using our standard, white envelopes.



What is the difference between an Inner and Outer Invitation Envelope?

The Inner and Outer Envelopes are very important and perform crucial roles when sending an invitation. The Inner Envelope will contain the invitation and accessories. Usually the Inner Envelope is lined with a decorative lining. The Outer Envelope will encompass the Inner Envelope and all of its contents. The Outer Envelope will have the mailing address and postage.

The most important thing to note in the difference between Inner and Outer Envelopes is the fact that only the Outer Envelope contains envelope gum for sealing. The Inner Envelope is decorative, the Outer Envelope serves as the functional piece.



I would like to set my own text on my invitation and accessories. How will the text appear on the invitation and accessories?

The text will print exactly the way it is entered. Note that the number and length of lines will affect the text size. Longer or many lines will result in smaller text. Shorter or fewer lines will result in larger text. To view your text in the desired type style and ink color, click the Preview button on Giftsin24.com. If you wish to view your text in a different type style or ink color, change your original selection, then click the Preview button again.

What is the correct way to indicate R.s.v.p.?

R.s.v.p. or R.S.V.P. are abbreviations for Repondez s'il vous plait, or please reply. R.s.v.p. and R.S.V.P. are the only two correct ways to indicate this abbreviation, and the periods are needed between the letters.



If I am going to have only one footnote on my invitation, which corner of the invitation is the correct placement?

The placement of a single footnote in the lower left or right corner of an invitation is a matter of personal preference.

Linings are available for all envelopes on Giftsin24.com excluding Place Card Envelopes.



Could I have my Inner and Outer Invitation Envelopes lined?

If the Inner Envelope is lined then the Outer Envelope cannot be lined. If both are lined, all of the essential materials will not fit the lined Outer Envelope. If you wish, you may only send your Invitations with an Outer Envelope and forgo the Inner Envelope entirely.



How do I specify which envelope I want lined?

An item number is assigned to every sized envelope at Giftsin24.com. Be sure to select the item number designated for envelopes with linings and add the envelopes to your shopping cart.



How do I order blank envelopes?

Blank envelopes are available to purchase. Be sure to select the item number designated for blank envelopes and add the blank envelopes to your shopping cart.



What printing method is used to print my invitations?

Thermography is the printing process used to print all invitations and accessories. This process melts powder over the printed ink, creating the illusion that the ink is raised.



When should I mail my wedding invitations?

Mail wedding invitations at least four to six weeks before the wedding. If your wedding is on or close to a holiday, allow eight weeks.



How much will postage cost for my wedding invitations?

It is recommended to assemble one complete invitation and have it weighed at the post office. It is possible that an invitation with multiple accessories could cost more than standard postage.



How do I place an order on Giftsin24.com?

After you have selected the item that you would like to purchase, fill in the order information to the right of the image. Please be certain to fill in all of the requested information such as paper color and lining color. After you have completed the order information select Add to Shopping Cart. If you would like to order another product you may do so by following the same steps. After you have completed the ordering information for all of your choices select Check Out.



When will my order ship?

Most orders will ship on the business day after we receive the order at Giftsin24.com. Orders received on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will ship on Tuesday.

Tips to Remember

  1. All of our merchandise at Giftsin24.com was designed for a commercial printing environment. The use of our merchandise is at the customer's own risk. We do not guarantee our merchandise will print on all printing equipment.
  2. Use the product photos as a guide when entering your order. Paper color will effect the foil color, if used on selected items.
  3. Quantity refers to Sets. In the Shopping Cart you will see a box for quantities. The number in this box refers to how many sets you have ordered of that particular item. For instance, cards and foldover notes are sold in quantities of 50. When you enter quantity 1 you will receive 50 cards. If you enter quantity 2 you will receive 100 cards.
  4. Additional sets of selected items are offered at a discount. If you change the quantity of your merchandise in the shopping cart you will notice that the price will adjust based on the discount given for that particular quantity.
