When it comes to a conscious effort to encourage the recycling effort, we can thank Giftsin24. One more comment — the color of the “green tea” paper is exactly the color of the “green movement,” or else it should be — the color of green reminds me of a growing tree or plant — it’s a color that symbolizes the spirit of the forest …

Whoevery wrote this blog should have put a link directly to the “eco friendly” products section of Giftsin24 — that’s the only section I’ve found at any website that features 100% recycled paper in two colors for beautiful personalized stationery. The “green tea” and the “desert storm” colors are perfectly in-sync with the green movement and are attractive colors, also. I like the fact that Giftsin24 offeres only embossed items in this section — no ink, so the production process uses no chemicals of any kind, so Giftsin24 reduces their own ecological “footprint” by making these products.

Having read the remarks above where this a series of remarks about the consumption of paper and the importance of using 100% recycled paper when possible — I’d like to add this suggestion — we should be consistent in our recycling of paper in the workplace. Recycling in the workplace helps to solve the challenge of the “28 pages of paper a day” that Mr. May describes (above). A common number that I have heard is that 50% of all paper in the U.S. does get recycled. We should work on getting that number higher. The first benefits of the higher percentage would be less waste going to landfills, and also more supply of recycled paper would help to lower the price of the recycled stationery papers that are on the market. By the way, I think that number of 50% of all paper being recycled came from the International Paper website. They have some good information on paper, recycling, and the ecology movement.

This is the only personalized stationery website I’ve seen that offers a variety of “professional” personalized papers in 100% recycled paper. There are 1st-timers out there who are experimenting with selling recycled papers, but Giftsin24 sells fine stationery on two different colors, and 2 different thicknesses of 100% recycled paper. The green tea color is very fetching, by the way …

Giftsin24 is the only personalized stationery website I’ve seen that offers all of the eco-friendly items on 100% recycled paper. And also, Giftsin24 offers their nicest stationery styles on the recycled paper, too, not that cartoonish stuff that has become so common at other websites.
