The Stationary Critic

We want to give you a platform, one that is founded on a non-biased approach to things stationery.  With that said and in keeping with our New Year’s resolution, we would like to take the opportunity to give you our constructive criticism.  Be assured that you will not be standing in front of a panel of judges.  Our evaluation, singing and dancing is not necessary for this critique, begins with our current collection of cards, notes, napkins and notepads.

We love what we do.  Our products are a testament and a result of our hard work.  So instead of offering you a pros and cons list of each item we will leave it up to you.  Everyone is a critic.  Are you not? All we can do is provide you with the most useful information and hope that this knowledge will help you make decisions that are favorable ones.  Yes, we want you to form your own conclusion and in doing so what we want in return is your feedback.  Today’s post will focus on three distinct products.

Each product review will be broken down into four categories.

    1. Design: We will discuss elements like layout, color scheme, placement of lettering style, and monograms.
    2. Personalization Options: This category answers the question: how can I make this item my own? Elements like ink and paper colors, lettering styles, and print methods will be discussed.
    3. Class: Who would like this item?
    4. The HUB: This is what we call the main feature of the item.  In other words, this is the reason (among others) why you should order this item.

Airbrush Super Slab

Airbrush Super Slab Notepad

Design: The lettering style mimics the steady flow of an airbrush on a (8.5” x 7.25”) sheet of bright white paper.  The layout is formal and direct.  This is evident by the script text that is centered at the top and bottom of each page.  The vibrant color of the text and its position lends to the importance of these details, which means that your words are significant.

Personalization options: There are many options here to play around with.  Choose between ruled lined or blank sheets of paper.  The color palette available for this item is quite appealing, so don’t be afraid to explore different ink colors.  Two lines of customization are yours to tailor which is plenty for this spacious slab.

Class: For all high school and college students, dedicated educators and loving parents, this slab will keep you organized all school year long.

The Hub: This item is comprised of 300 sheets of paper.  It is more than enough paper to write the great American novel or just a brief note to your kid.

Blissful Guest Towels

Blissful Guest Towel

Design: The foil and paper color combo in this pic may or may not be your cup of tea, but don’t fret.  There are many color combinations you can choose from.  Two names form a corner on the right side of this guest towel, providing visual intrigue and spontaneity.

Personalization options: Choose from a variety of script, serif and san serif lettering styles.  Do not forget about your choice of foil and paper colors.

Class: Wedding receptions, anniversaries, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners will favor the most from this guest towel.

The HUB: With an endless variety of foil and paper color options you will no doubt find your favorite combination for your next event.

Double Thick Arabesque Note

Arabesque Note

Design: An ornate frame comprises a unique composition.  One line of customization becomes a part of the design.  The placement of the frame signifies importance.  Yes, this layout means business, placing your name smack dab in the middle.

Personalization options: Customize this design motif, including the line featured in the center, with your choice of ink color.

Class: This note has a universal appeal, one that would find its proper place inside an office or PTA luncheon.

The HUB: This note is made from double thick paper that is stronger and thicker than the locks of a Greek god or goddess.  Matching envelopes complete the look of this item.

Resolutions give us hope. They help us direct our lives when we need to kick ourselves into the next gear, maybe even kick someone else into gear. I had to stop reading after the Airbrush Super Slab to go and order some. I love the new design! Having lines on the sheet is useful, especially if you have a long message to write which I often do. As far as new personalized stationery products go, this is a good way to start the year!

Maybe now that I’ve got my first order in, I can actually go back and read the rest of this blog. ;-)

Everything looks great! My favorite new design is the Double Thick Arabesque Note, although I think it would be even cooler if you could choose to include up to two or three lines of personalized text in the design. Even so though, it’s very classy and I love ornate designs like this!

I like the spring color scheme on the Blissful Guest Towels in the picture. I’m sure the spring connotation is only because of the chosen colors, but it really shows off how festive and joy-inspiring these particular guest towels can be.

While I’m not as wowed by the Airbrush Super Slab as the last commenter, I do think it’s pretty cool. There aren’t a lot of personalized notepad designs that incorporate lines for writing, and I think it’s always good to get some more of those. I think this would make a great gift for students in particular.

You know you misspelled stationery in the blog title, right? Unless you meant to refer to a critic that stays in one place… :-)

I think the three featured designs are all pretty cool as well. I’m somewhat surprised more people aren’t talking about the Blissful Guest Towels though, as I think that’s the neatest of the products in this blog. I like that the ampersand is on an angle; it’s a nice touch. The most exciting part for me though, is that you can play with the font and lettering options. There are half a dozen styles of font to choose from, and I think that’s a great new direction to take personalization options for stationery products.

So as far as I’m concerned, the first new products of 2013 are a big success. Good job to Giftsin24 for another series of great products!

I noticed while looking at personalized notes that many of them are affixed with the label “Item qualifies for BOGO sale.” I don’t remember reading anything about this, so could someone explain to me what the BOGO sale is?

I’m a fan of this idea of a wider variety of personalization options for personalized stationery products. I think being able to change lettering styles is a good step. Hopefully we will see more options like this going forward.

A new year, a new blog, and a new design for the blog as well. Nice! While the new layout will take some getting used to, I think new designs are what a site like GiftsIn24.com is all about. And once again, they’ve delivered!

I think it’s pretty cool that we’re seeing new personalization options in addition to new styles of personalized cards, notes, and guest towels. Changing the lettering style on guest towels or choosing whether to get a lined or unlined notepad are creative and cool ways to bring even more choices to the customer. I like it! We could already bring a huge variety of choices to bear on our personalized stationery products by choosing colors and text, and now in some cases we have even more ways to personalize the design. I think this is a great new step, and I hope we see more in the future!

Count me among those who like the new personalization options for these new stationery products and guest towels. If these prove to be a success (and I think they will), do you think we will see more varied options like this in the future? Perhaps choosing the thickness of lines or changing between three or four border styles on a personalized card?

Another interesting option would be if you went back and added more options to existing personalized stationery products. Why not take that option for multiple lettering styles and apply it to some of the other classic personalized cards or notepads, for example?
