What is the right way to say thank you for a gift?
When you receive a gift it is customary to show your appreciation for the personalized gift. Make the person giving you the gift know you appreciate their time and thought. When you open the gift there are a few things you want to immediately do to say thank you.

I remember a time when I used to receive thank you notes all of the time. Nowadays people hardly take the time to write them anymore. I for one still do this at every opportunity I get. I wish more young people would pick up this practice. I think if more people started saying “Thank You” again on paper the world would be a better place.

It’s impossible to talk too much about the importance of sending thank you notes when somebody gives you a gift or does something nice for you. It seems like many people don’t think about this, and think either a quick spoken “thank you” is enough or that sending a thank you note is too much of a bother.
Sending a personalized thank you note is the best way to show proper gratitude for receiving a gift. My mother always used to tell me that if I didn’t send out thank you notes to everyone who gave me birthday presents, then I had no right to get upset if those people didn’t give me presents the next year. This is an important lesson, because you can’t assume that your gratitude is understood if you don’t express it properly.
It’s good to know some people still understand the importance of personalized thank you notes.
