Hopefully most people have their Mother’s Day gifts by now. Even GiftsIn24 might be a little hard-pressed to get your order of personalized stationery or cards to you by Sunday now. Although I suppose giving a great personalized gift a day or so late is better than giving a lesser gift, if you haven’t ordered yet.
I like the idea of giving a personalized designer note along with another gift, like candles or potpourri. My mother likes to collect candles (it seems like she rarely actually lights them though, so I don’t really get it). I think wrapping up some nice candles for her along with a personalized card would make a really good gift.

I noticed that this site has been running a lot of blogs about Mother’s Day gifts lately, and I just wanted to say I think that’s a great idea. Too many people don’t show enough appreciation for their mothers and I think that’s a real shame. I’m not a mom yet (someday hopefully!) but I know that I would love a gift of personalized stationery if my husband or children bought it for me. There are so many beautiful gifts available here that I don’t see how anyone could not be happy receiving them.

I agree. It’s really sad when you think about it. There were two people responsible for bringing you into this world, your mother and your father. If you cannot respect them and pay homage to them for what they have done for you without a special day then they have not done a proper job, both components did not coexist together for them to do a proper job or you have not been responsive to the message either one has given you. That is the purpose of Mother’s Day, to thank and pay homage for all those things a mother has done to get you to the point of where you at today. To thank them for inspiring you where you are at today and where you’ll go and accomplish tomorrow. That is why a personalized message to match a Personalized Card or Note is such an appropriate response to honor and celebrate a day that should come without hesitation. Exactly! I’m glad you get what I mean. I feel the same way about Father’s Day, that too many people don’t show their appreciation enough. I bought my own mother some great personalized stationery that I know she will love, which I’m going to give her when I take her out to dinner on Sunday. I will probably do something similar for my father next month, although I’ll get him a different style of stationery that matches him better. If you don’t respect the people who brought you into the world, then how can you respect anyone else?

Pairing designer notes with another gift is an excellent idea, especially if you’ve already given your mother personalized stationery recently, such as for Christmas or if she had a birthday in the last few months. I’ve already gotten the Motherly Memo Squares for my mom as a Mother’s Day present, but I think an additional gift like scented candles and fragrance would be a good idea as well.
I never get books for my mom anymore since she takes forever to read them. I remember when the last Harry Potter book came out, I got it for her as a birthday present. I had never read the books before and decided to start from the first book, figuring that she would be done with the last book long before I got to the end of the series. And by the time I finished the first six books, she wasn’t even halfway done! It’s not like I’m a fast reader, she just never gets around to reading very much. So I don’t get her books anymore because she never gets around to reading half of them.
Thankfully, she always reads my letters when I send them to her. She’s complimented my personalized stationery several times, which is one of the reasons I like to buy her gifts from this site.
