A Debt We Could Never Repay

We celebrate life with a given attitude.  It comes natural to all of us.  We laugh and smile and sometimes cry at the sight and sound of a new born.  Here’s a cigar…it’s a boy…a girl…twins? Men had it easy back then, when all they had to do was to hang out in the waiting room.  Women, of course, are the true champions.  They become what all men admire and respect like the heroes in their favorite movies.  Come to think of it – when has Batman ever given birth? Case closed! Granted, we don’t need an occasion like this to know that women are tough.  To think what women go through during labor is enough for any man to cringe and say – I love you, dear – from the safety of the waiting room.

While we celebrate life, specifically the arrival of a new born, men, let us also celebrate the women who sacrificed their body and soul to give us a family.  What did you write on your personalized card or note? Thank you. I’m sorry.  Better you than me.  Hey, it’s a start.  We can never repay them for what they have done.  It is a debt that we will continue to pay off well after our children leave the nest.  Could we be a bit more helpful around the house? Could we compliment her more often? Could we buy her a brand new car with a personalized gift enclosure that reads: Please, forgive me for putting you through all of this? The answer is YES!  Why do all of this? Well, because we love ‘em.
