I saw The Avengers on its opening weekend and it was amazing! The theater was so packed we had to sit right down in front, but it was worth it because the entire movie was great from start to finish. A lot of people missed the scene at the end of the credits though, because they left after the other bonus scene in mid-credits.
I still haven’t seen The Hunger Games, so unless I can find someone else who still wants to see it I’ll probably have to wait for the DVD. I’m also looking forward to The Expendables 2, and to a lesser degree The Dark Knight Rises. Men in Black 3 and the new GI Joe movie might be okay but I’m not expecting too much from them.
I guess if I were to pull out a personalized note and make a list of the movies I’m looking forward to this summer, I would write them in this order: Expendables 3, The Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spider Man, GI Joe, and Men in Black 3.

Although I like the notepads, as described above in the blog, I recommend the similar items in the Gifts for Kids section. First of all, these items are youthful looking, but would be perfectly appropriate for teenagers and some adults, too, who want a youthful, lively look to their notepads. Second — the prices are REALLY low in the Gifts for Kids section and you can save some serious money by shopping there. The personalized notes (notes and envelopes) items in the section are very youthful looking, maybe too much so for older people, but they are a bargain and appear to have the high quality of all Giftsin24 products.

My husband and I saw the Avengers and were very pleased as well. We didn’t got see it on the opening weekend so it wasn’t as crowded. The special effects of the movie just blew us away and adding the fact we saw it in 3-D was amazing. I actually just wrote out one of my personalized notes to my best friend who lives in NY about the movie and how I suggest she goes to see it.

Paulette,
Just a reminder, some of our personalized notepads have an optional “Lined” pattern to help with organizing your thoughts better. It is a feature we don’t see others use. Check it out in the personalize and preview section of each product.

Giftsin24 Staff,
Is that a gentle way of saying that my thoughts are disorganized?
If so you’re probably right, I do feel a bit scatterbrained sometimes.
Still, a lined option for personalized notepads is a good idea. I’ll check that out next time I shop for notepads. Can you get that with personalized stationery too?

I haven’t done this in years, but I used to like to take a personalized notepad in to the theater with me, and write down some of my favorite lines from the movie. I know that there were a lot of quotable ones from The Avengers, but my friends and I have been talking about that film all week so I remember a lot more of the lines than in the average movie. I have to say, the dialogue was really well done in that movie.
I also agree that some movies make great dates. Of course it depends on the person you’re dating, which kind of movies are good for that. For example, the girl I’ve dated the last month or two would be more likely to enjoy seeing The Dark Knight Rises as a date than the type of movies you’d normally expect to see on a date night. That’s one of the things I like about her.

The Avengers 2012. It may be come known as the summer movie of 2012. Lots of people are going to be writing about it in newspapers, Personalized Notepads, Memos, Mini Lists and Apple Memo Squares for a long time to come. It opened the summer movie season with a bang, a record breaking $200 million, besting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II’s old opening record of $168 million by a shot. Do you have one of your own Executive 7 Tablets available as well. Any of your Personalized Notepads will come in handy to list other incidentals about this film that will continue to rewrite record books. A number of students also graduated from college or university this weekend. Personalized Stationery gifts for some of them would be the perfect thing to mark graduation whether you were christening a Stationery Wardrobe or presenting Integrity Agenda Sets, Memo Squares, Billboard Desk Slabs, Classic or Sienna Monogram Lists. They’d either find them a big surprise and put them to immediate use in putting an agenda together for things to do after graduation or they might’ve even propose bigger plans later in the summer. They might have seen the Avengers this weekend instead of last. They could take note that is now the only film to gross over a hundred million dollars in back to back weekends. It raked in another $103 million this weekend.
What does the Avengers have that no other summer block buster has produced so far? It gives audiences an urge to believe in the hero on a grand scale. There are so many things that people want to believe in in that often fall short of their expectations but the Avengers made good on its dramatic build up and its marketing campaign that was present on all three networks. It had already given us some memorable moments in individual deliveries of Thor, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk and an interested audience awaited just what type of effect the larger than life characters would make assembled in a way that hadn’t been done before. Unlike last year’s Green Lantern the success of Marvel’s previous franchise movies and the action packed plot that took one dynamic turn to the next kept the audience on its edge with some one to hope for, something greater to believe was the element that made the difference in the mix. You can have a hero but if you don’t feel caught up in the action, believe in the moment and root for them to win, do you have something that they an audience belives. Avengers seem to do this on a grand scale. It made promises and delivered. Another great detail to jot down on your Apple Memo Squares is that n it is now one of eleven films to gross more than a billion dollars worldwide just two weeks after its U.S. release.

It’s funny how this is turning into a discussion of The Avengers, but I guess it’s just that kind of movie that it crops up everywhere.
I keep hearing speculation that DC will try to do something similar and build toward a Justice League movie, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Not because of any refusal on DC’s part to make it happen, but simply because the opportunity isn’t really there for them. I mean, Green Lantern was pretty much a flop, yes? I didn’t see it (I’ve never been a DC Comics fan except for Batman), but nobody who did seemed to be happy with it. Also, Ryan Reynolds really needs to stop doing comic book films, because he’s been in three and none of them have been well-received.
On top of that though, the last Superman movie didn’t do so well either. In fact, the only movie franchise that DC has going strong right now is Batman, and the Nolan Batman films aren’t really compatible with a Justice League idea since they’re much more gritty and don’t really have supernatural elements. Plus, there’s the whole thing with Christian Bale not playing Batman anymore after this one.
All of this movie talk on a personalized stationery blog, it’s pretty crazy. But it’s nice. As often as we talk about custom stationery or personalized party napkins and so on, it does seem sometimes like we repeat ourselves a bit. It’s nice to inject new elements like this into the conversation here.

Quite a list of films being discussed here, although most of it seems to be about The Avengers. I’d probably need to get out my personalized notepad to keep it all straight. I guess everyone seems to like the Avengers movie, then? Maybe I ought to go ahead and see it this week.
If I wrote a list on my notepad of the movies I’ve seen so far this year, it wouldn’t be that long. The movies I’m still looking forward to this year would make a longer list though, so maybe I will write those down and cross them off as I see them. I can start with the Avengers, if I can find anyone else who hasn’t seen it yet.
