A Thank You During the Holidays
At the end of the day, after life has thrown you enough curve-balls, are you thankful? Is this an easy question to answer? It’s a head scratcher I will admit, but can you provide a definitive answer. Rest assured the only person you have to answer to is yourself – literally. There isn’t a right or wrong response. For most of us, a mixture of self-reflection and honesty will do it.
The holidays are a time to get in touch with your subconscious and communicate with the inner you, whoever that may be. Self-reflection is a big part during this time of the year. Most people call it the holiday spirit, a mysterious feeling or emotion that will take control of who you are like the aliens in that popular science fiction film, the Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
If you feel the spirit you will soon be thanking the heavens for something or someone. Is this a fair statement to make? A personalized thank you card during the holidays is a concept many of us would disguise inside a Christmas card. Actually this is quite logical. The holidays will make its case each year and most of us will resort to some gesture with a colorful winter theme.

Am I thankful? You bet I am! 2012 has been a very interesting year for me, as I’ve met new people, made new friends, been invited to many awesome and fun events and parties, and been exposed to so many things I hadn’t really gotten to do before. I feel like I’m in a much better place than I was a year ago, and my Christmas card list this year is definitely going to be a lot longer. When I sent out my personalized cards (which will be soon), then you can bet I’m going to be giving some heartfelt thank you messages to a great many people this holiday season.

During the busy and all too brief holiday season, I think it’s very important to stop and take a moment to say thank you to the people around us. Whether it’s giving a nice Christmas gift, inviting us to a great holiday party (or coming to ours and having a good time), doing us a favor, or just generally being themselves and being awesome, there are lots of people who deserve thank you cards. Since we’re amidst the holidays now, it can be tempting to say thank you with your Christmas cards, but I think it’s cool to send a separate personalized thank you card sometimes too, especially if there’s someone whom you especially want to recognize with your thanks. I too have a lot to be thankful for today, and so I am making it a point to send out some personalized thank you cards between the holidays. With all the other personalized cards that have to go out before Christmas, it’s almost a little overwhelming, but I believe in making sure people know when you are thankful for something they have done, and so I am making sure to let them know in my favorite way.
