It’s Easy Being Green Using Eco Friendly Stationery

There are many ways to be environmentally-savvy without having to compromise much convenience. It feels very satisfying to know you can “be green” and still get the same, if not better quality than you originally anticipated. By getting eco friendly stationary and changing the location of your event, this can make a very big difference. There are many alternatives to reduce waste while still having a wonderful event.

Do you ever feel bad at the end of a wedding when you notice how much garbage is going into a landfill? The wasted food, personalized napkins, decorations, and loads of other things! It doesn’t have to be a waste. You can now get environmentally-friendly and recycled paper for your monogrammed stationery and other paper needs. So while these materials are already recycled, and you then recycle them.. You are doing the earth a big favor! Decorations can be reused and the less plastic used for cutlery the better.

For more “green” locations for your next event you might want to consider using the outdoors! Based on the weather and depending on where you live, you can make anything happen outdoors! Many people are even having outdoor weddings. Outdoor weddings are beautiful, natural, and have great lighting without the use of excessive electricity. Most of the time, you may not even have to pay a cost to use a public park. By changing the location, you could even make your wedding that much more memorable and cost-effective!

You can always contact a “green” event coordinator to help you further plan eco friendly details. It doesn’t really matter what event you are looking to plan, if you want to be useful instead of wasteful, you definitely can be. From the beginning with the invitations, to the end of the event and recycling, you can be happy at your event and also make your environment happy! By buying recycled materials and using alternative locations, it can be more cost-effective for you as well. It is only in recent years that it has been easier to make a step between wastes and re-use. If you think about how much waste you are using and electricity, etc you are using at an event you may want to reconsider. In the long run, if it will save you more money. It will also feel good when your guests realize how eco friendly your event is, and also how much more memorable it is from the norm!

Has anyone thought of offering personalized wedding napkins that are made from recycled napkin material ? Maybe this could only come in limited colors ? Does anyone know anything about this ?

I saw recycled wedding napkins at a lesser website a few weeks ago. The problem is they were only available in brown, as in brown paper bag. It’s too bad, because I think these are a good idea. Come to think of it, inexpensive recycled napkins have been in fast food places for a long time. But I think Pen Lady is asking if there is a more refined version of this kind of napkin.

I have been ordering eco items through Giftsin24 now for a few years. I originally started ordering when they offered the Eco Square. This was a 5” size with loose sheets to write notes on. I love this item very much and still order more when my square runs empty on my desk. I then noticed awhile back that they expanded their selection of eco items to notes and cards. From looking at many different stationery websites I have to say they have the biggest selection of different styles to choose from. Also, the Green Tea paper is so beautiful that it amazes me that it is recycled. The more and more people that chip in with ordering recycled papers helps all of us cut down the amount going into the landfills as this blog states.

I think our country is doing a good job with recycling … I know it’s not being done by everyone, and I know more progress needs to be made… but in my neighborhood I see more awareness than ever before about recycling — especially with cans, bottles and paper.

Our country does a good job with most everything … we’re just going through a slow spell … we will pull out of this and prosper again.

In case you’re wondering, I’m still following up on the comment above, about trying to find good recycled napkins whether personalized or not. I will answer my own question !
