Finding the Perfect Birth Announcements

After I had my twins I wanted to find the perfect birth announcements to send out to family and friends.

I had a beautiful baby girl named Lydia and a handsome boy named Max. Since I was an avid scrap booker I headed over to my local scrap booking supply store to find some card stock and a kit for making birth announcements.

I was confident that I would be able to find something that would be perfect for announcing the birth of my wonderful new twins.

Unfortunately my confidence was grossly misplaced. I was able to find kits and card stock for making birth announcements in pink for girls and blue for boys. None of the kits had an adequate amount of space for me to include information about both of my twins.

None of the cards would be suitable for both a boy and a girl. I was extremely disappointed. After I talked to the clerk at the front desk who knew that I was a regular customer, she pulled a card off of her personal bulletin board behind her register.

It was a professionally printed birth announcement that her daughter had sent out after the birth of her first child.

The birth announcement was everything that I had wanted. There was a great photograph of the baby and all of the personal information that I wanted to include was monogrammed onto the card.

It had the baby’s name, date of birth, and his height and weight. The card was adorable and professional looking. The clerk at the store told me that her daughter had these made from an online personalized stationery printer.

She reassured me that the printer was very affordable and that I would be much happier with the results. Even though I was optimistic that I would be able to find an affordable online printer I was concerned that I would be able to find announcements in a gender neutral color.

After a little bit of searching online I was able to find a business that had a huge selection of birth announcements available.

I was also very pleased to find some in green and other neutral colors that would be perfect for a twin boy and girl.

By adjusting the font size the printer was able to fit a photograph and all of the birth information of both twins on one card. I could not have been happier with the results.
