Surprise, Surprise
Throwing the perfect party takes a lot of time, effort and a whole lot of planning, but when that party is a surprise party, the planning portion becomes a little more difficult. When the person you are throwing the party for lives with you, it becomes a lot more difficult. On top of securing the venue (or cleaning the house if you are hosting the party), calling the caterer and deciding on the decorations or theme of the party, you have to invite family, friends and acquaintances. Doing that discreetly without raising
suspicion is not easy. The perfect solution is to send personalized invitations or notes. Include all the party instructions and a way to R.s.v.p. without spoiling the surprise. The party guests will be impressed by the thought and care that went into each invite or not. Why stop there though? Spice up the decorations with personalized napkins or guest towels for the hor d’ oeuvre, drinks, main course or dessert. Provide special party favors with personalized gift enclosures. Really make the party come alive with your own personal touch and give them something special to remember from the invite right down to the decorations.

Throwing a party is undoubtedly harder than I expected. For once, all the responsibilities were upon me. Since my graduation is coming up soon, I really want to have a great graduation party. With halls being expensive to rent, I figured I throw something in my basement. Buying personalized napkins totally would be a good way to have a memorable party.

Tick toc, throwing parties get me anxious all the time! My best friend just got engaged and I need to throw her a surprise party. I got the hall rented, all my food catered, and am ready to take this to another level and spoil her with a surprise! I hope everything goes good.

Personal touch to these stationery is so sentimental. I ordered lots of anniversary napkins from Giftin24 and diamond earrings from Ultra Diamonds. Made the perfect gift.

“Party rock is in the house tonight, Everybody just have a good time. And we gonna make you lose your mind, Everybody just have a good time.” Yes this sounds like the makings of a really fantabulous surprise party. Regardless of how much care and concern you take with a “surprise” party you always want to have the element of “surprise” working to benefit the guest of a honor’s arrival and the majority of the guests who are coming to help out. Our your guests more into big bands or new wave? What’s the ultimate pulse point for everyone? A good way to keep everyone in the dark is to send out Personalized Notes or Cards as invitations. Divide certain elements, details about the party that you will mention among several groups of invitations but you will only give so much detail, different detail to all four groups. They won’t even know how the whole thing fits together until the party, only you and the other party planner or planners will. Will you need a caterer, venue, clean up crew, how many people will you send cards to, when will they have to RSVP by so you’ll have a good idea of how many people to expect. Having just had a party or two over the holidays, the subject is still fresh in my mind. Personalized napkins definitely made a difference in making the party that much nicer and served as great decorations. And I agree that the personalized invitations and notes are pretty cool, and a good way to circulate info about your party.
I haven’t ever had to plan a surprise party for anyone, but I’m sure it complicates the planning process quite a bit. I know my family would get suspicious if I all of a sudden started trying to clean the house by myself!

Has anyone thrown a surprise party inside a VIP Lounge? That would be so cool! I remember a concert a while back that I attended and they had a surprised birthday party in the VIP lounge. Needless to say, it was the best party she had.
Speaking of concerts, I am hearing that Van Halen is coming to town.

Aisha, I am so excited for that! I enjoyed Van Halen with Sammy Hagar a lot as well, but this reunion with David Lee Roth is still something really special. The last time Van Halen made new music with Dave, I was a little kid and didn’t know who they were. It feels like a historical reunion.
I’ve never thrown a surprise party in a VIP lounge, but that sounds like a lot of fun.
Personalized napkins are a great way to add a little flair to any party, including a surprise party. I’ve helped organize a couple surprise parties, and the little details like custom napkins definitely help make things even more memorable. I agree they’re hard to plan for, and that’s why sending out personalized invitations is important, so you can let people know about the party and get it organized behind the back of whoever you’re going to surprise. You just need to be careful not to leave any spare invitations sitting out where they can be found.
