I still need to see The Hunger Games. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it but I haven’t gotten to the theaters yet. If I don’t catch it soon I might have to wait until the DVD comes out.

The movie I’m really waiting for though is The Avengers. I’ve enjoyed most of the movies that have been leading up to this, especially the first Iron Man film and Captain America. Even Thor wasn’t bad I guess. I still haven’t seen the Incredible Hulk, but everyone tells me it’s pretty good (as long as you don’t watch the other Hulk movie that was made a few years before it).

It’s interesting that the previous blog talked about personalized notepads and books, while this one talks about notepads and films. I suppose if you like to write down your thoughts about books, it makes just as much sense to do so with the movies you see as well.

Jeff, The Hunger Games was a really good movie, you should see it in theaters while you can. I’m about to check out the books on recommendation from a friend – I’m told the first two are great but the third is a bit of a letdown. I guess I’ll know for sure soon enough.

One of the great things about The Hunger Games is how well it contrasts with the Twilight films in how it presents the female lead. Katniss is everything Bella is not: a strong character with her own personality and motivations. And above all, Katniss is interesting, which is more than I could say for any of the characters in Twilight.

Sorry, I don’t mean to sidetrack the discussion here, but a lot of people are making the comparison, and I think it’s a valid one since both series are in the public eye at the moment.

Anyway, leaving aside the movies for a bit, Henry has a point that keeping track of things with personalized notepads is very easy and convenient as well. I’ve started ordering a new style whenever I run low on notepads, just to mix things up with the variety. And I run through notepads pretty quickly with all the things I need to keep track of throughout the day.

Good movie. Maybe not as good as people have been saying, but it’s kind of a slow year for movies so far so I can see why it’s so popular.

Like I mentioned on the previous blog, I used to write about my reactions to the books I read, until I stopped because of all the time it was taking up (not to mention the paper and ink costs). I’ve been thinking I could start up again if I kept my summaries short, since I tended to go into a lot of detail just recapping what I read. If I do that and it works out, I could do the same thing for movies as well. I do love writing on my personalized notepads, and I did kind of used to enjoy writing down my thoughts like that. Maybe I’ll try it and see how it goes.

I wasn’t really a fan of the Hunger Games books so I have passed on going to see the movie. But I would agree that ordering some personalized pads is a great way to keep a list. I really enjoy the desk slab because you can get them with lines printed on them. This makes it very easy to put together a list.

Hunger games got a poor review in the New Yorker magazine Nonetheless, I plan to go see it.

By the end of Sunday afternoon the Hunger Games’ estimated take for the weekend was $21,500, 000. besting a remake of The Three Stooges and the greatly anticipated Cabin In The Woods. I can’t make heads or tails of it either. I’m thinking there is a growing number of kids who haven’t seen it yet or some of them along with other fans are taking others to see it for the fist time after they saw it during the first few weeks.. Then there are people who are being referred by word of mouth, memo responses and popular opinion. Katniss Everdeen now has her own Wikipedia page. She is the main character in the book the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. She dorsn’t have a Memo Pad named after her but if I was gonna pick a Memo Pad out of the crowd that matched her personality I’d choose the Jolly Memo Squares because they stand out from the rest. They are “pleasant gleeful, sheets to offer notices, friendly reminders, short happy thoughts and messages of every kind. they have a unique kind of style, just like Katniss’ name that is derived from an edible plant. Katniss is played by the actress Jennifer Lawrence in the movie. You’re probably jotting down as much Hunger Games trivia as you can. District 12 is a coal mining district. Hunger games is the first installment in a three part series, trilogy. Katniss becomes a symbol for a rebellion in the book and first installment. I’m afraid you’ll have to read on and take good notes as to where the plot is going and who it affects.
