People Prefer Personalized Stationery

Keeping in touch with childhood friends can be difficult as the years pass on and each friend becomes involved in his or her own personal life. With internet advancements such as email and the even more obnoxious epidemic of Facebook, people have learned to keep tabs on each other’s lives with minimal effort or concern. Longtime friends may choose to keep in touch with such technological methods like Facebook or email. However, these tools have become the means by which people turn into freakish stalkers or self indulgent fiends.   Instead, people prefer handwritten letters on personalized stationery because they offer a more intimate way to communicate than the cold, cruel computer waves.

The internet has allowed for people to communicate across seas without having to pick up a phone or plane ticket. Sometimes these ties can lead to great friendships and pen pals. However, and though they should, people are not using personalized stationery to write to their long distance pals. People who have pen pals in other countries have an exceptionally lazy advantage when using the internet for communication with such tools like free online translators. Sites that offer these processes, though convenient and immediately helpful, offer no real prolonged or extended benefit to the knowledge and growth of their users. It can be viewed as a way of “cheating,” for people are able to write pages upon pages in their native tongue only to turn out, with a few clicks of a mouse, an exact matching document in any language of their choosing. Furthermore, the computer is not keenly aware of miniscule discrepancies or idioms in languages and the results are oftentimes full of flaws and errors. For people to efficiently and effectively practice a foreign language, they should be putting their own minds to work instead of using their computers to cut corners.

By purchasing a stationery set that includes both envelopes and letter writing paper, shoppers eliminate the worry and stress that comes with trying to find envelopes that match. No personalized stationery set is complete without matching envelopes. And by choosing their own personalized envelopes and stationery, people are also then able to coordinate the type of stamps that they want to use. If someone uses a green leafy vine theme for his or her stationary and envelope set, then a green leaf or tree frog stamp may be appropriate to match. This is just an added personal touch for people that pay attention to details and like their work to reflect such.

The Somerset Wardrobe set at Giftsin24 is an especially nice selection of cards and envelopes. You get a total of 150 cards in 3 different sizes, plus 150 envelopes.

I agree with this blog because so many people are caught up in the Facebook phenomenon and forget the appropriate ways to keep in touch with friends. Facebook makes it easy for someone to poke their friends to say hi or to write on their wall without much effort. However this will never be able to replace sitting down and composing your thoughts to write a personalized letter. The recipient of such a letter will be sure to appreciate the time and thought you put into this gesture. Then the ultimate payback comes when you receive a letter in reply to yours. Be sure to show your friends you care by taking the time to do something more personable like writing a letter, rather then using the convenience of Facebook, emails or text messaging.

Yes, sending the written word through the good ole USPS has an effect that strengthens friendships and adds quality to relationships.

There is something exciting about opening an envelope and pulling the note or letter out and reading it. You never quite know what it is going to say, but there is always the air of anticipation.

Beth Malone is right. Appropriate is the right word. There are appropriate ways to say thank you and also to send certain other kinds of messages such as regrets, condolences, etc. That means sitting down and writing the note and mailing it.
